Like you, John Carona cares about his community

John Carona is a graduate of Dallas public schools and the University of Texas at Austin.

Having lived in Dallas all his life, he earns his living here and raises his family. Through the years, John has worked with PTA’s and Little League, Exchange Clubs, school booster clubs and neighborhood associations.

Prior to his election to the legislature, John served on the City of Dallas Planning Commission and various other boards including the White Rock/Lake Highlands YMCA and the Dallas Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

Since his election to the legislature, John Carona has been a dedicated public servant representing the various cities across Dallas County in SD 16. But in the form of a true "citizen legislator," he continues to live and work here in the Dallas area to support and raise his family, just like you.
